FW, you're catching on!

Since you raise the idea, I'd like to know how many Clinton holdovers were involved in the decision-making  process that led to this debacle. Lord knows there are - or were - enough of them in the State Department mucking things up.

The idea smacks of left-wing thinking - Sarooster hit it well, but another way of putting it is this: Doing the wrong thing is better than doing nothing. Another: The only way to solve a problem is to throw money at it.

Let me guess ...
this is the democrat's fault, right? No? Bill? Hillary? Nancy Pelosi?

Surely the blame has to lie somewhere other than the incompetent Bush Administration.

I think the government did exactly what they were supposed to do here.
The "people" wanted something done. It had to be done so the government did something. I am not saying it was right or even close to being right, but they acted and I am fine with that. In the late 1980's after Hugo hit the Atlantic Coast is took FEMA 12 days to arrive. FEMA was expected to be in New Orleans before this storm hit. There was no accountability in this mess and none was really expected in my estimation.
