Glennb,
I must be an anomaly. I figured out a way to work half as hard and make twice as much money.

Corbin,
That is the whole issue here. It's not Iraq or anything else. It's the fact the George Bush is president.

Sarooster,
I wish I could help your dire state! Now you are her whinning about "pulling yourself up by the bootstrap"! That is the great occomplishment of the Right: Work twice as hard to make less money and you can be one of them! They never tell you that their "bootstraps" are extra long and they never have to pull!

Xeno-X,
You write down the problems on a list as if there is nothing we can do about any of them. We can all make things happen. The stock market may in the low 11K and may go lower, but we can do things to still make money in the market. We can handle terrorism, but not if the left continues to give aid and comfort to the enemy. We can take care of all our problems if we do something about them. I am not going to whine about it all. I am going to take steps to correct the problems. I am not that smart and not really well educated. So for my income how do I make up. With a lot of hard work and savvy learned through experience. We can make it better for everyone if we all pull together.

Tall,
Thanks for the read and comment. I think we have become much too polarized on both sides of all issues. Before blogging became popular I was much more middle of the road and I am more that way now than I care to admit. The left has been at war with conservatives since losing the House in 1994. So I have met them headon at every chance. There really is no civility anymore nor do I care if there is any or not.

Boy, You and O'Reily
...same kind of style, same ability to generate reaction, same focus on poll #s more than the issues, same use of labels more than talking about issues. Don't get me wrong, yours is a solid piece that I enjoyed reading. The Dems do need a more coherent message, a central theme for the next push. I'd recommend they use a "we're all in this together" mantra. Regarding Iraq, they could use a "2,500 American soldiers have now died, let's find a solution soon or get out" push.
Your hard-hitting words take everyone's cover away. Nicely done.

Glennb needs to wake up and smell the roses
Well thought out, salient points. Glennb would apparently be lost without his marching orders!

kingmi,
The liberals like to govern and measure by polls and such. When it starts to turn around on them they have to take the bad with the good.
