redwood - I find fault with those that let him remain as a public figure
It is very difficult to separate the crazy words of a person from the enthusiasm of their delivery.

gomedome- I have very mixed feelings about Pat Robertson-
I try to present a rational and a balanced perspective in the things I write (believe it or not). Pat Robertson makes it difficult for Christians to do this because he is always sticking his foot in his mouth.
His zealousness outweighs his common sense. I find fault with his common sense. I do not fault his zeal.

Justi - we've discussed this in the past
As hard as it is sometimes, we must remind ourselves that no one person of any group is representative of the entire group.  . . . and thank you for the kind words.

TVBlogger -- I only have one crazy person in my family tree
aside from normal craziness found in all people. My paternal grandmother lost all of her marbles in her early 50's and lived until she was 96 in a completely spun state. I'm in my early 50's now but haven't noticed any of the signs of it being hereditary.

gomedome
This is an excellent post. I am not going to question where I am in this but thank you for  this  post . It says so much about who you are. Or I see it saying you are a person not imposing your beliefs about anything on others as a 'have to be' nor will you accept other's pushing their beliefs on you as a 'must have'. I appreciate that.

pkcricket --- there is crazy and then there is harmless crazy
But of course both of these categories exclude present company . . then again, if we were crazy how would we know?

I hope not...
...or I would have come from a long line of insane people.  Actually.... hmmmm, maybe that explains some things.

I hope I'm excluded from the crazy Christian stereotype...I'm a crazy person, but I don't think a crazy Christian...lol.  Thanks for keeping it real and for not being very hostile in discussions...it makes for good times.  Cricket ><>
