gomedome, I agree and I do accept Isaiah's teaching that the Word of God will stand for ever no matter how many times it is translated, paraphrased, edited by man, burned, banned, etc. But, I would love for your your edition to be added to those of others who were not satisfied with what has been given. And, it would be interesting to see if or what that job of editing might modify in your own beliefs.

TAPS- wow - that is a surprisingly nice sentiment
But a notion of actually contributing to the world's all time best seller is beyond even the threshold of my conceit. To me it is a historic manuscript, integral in the development of much of the civilized world that needs not be edited further, but preserved in a fashion suitable for a modern world.

gomedome, I very much would love to see you seriously work on that. I know it would take a long time and a lot of effort. What you might come up with would probably surprise and delight us both.
