TAPS
Precisely! Give away what you most want, and it is yours.

You noticed that, too?

I had a childhood friend who always said, 'almost doesn't count, except in horseshoes and hand-grenades!'

Great post. We will never be ‘liberated’ until we feel the pain of others as intensely as our own, the joy of others as euphorically as our own. Samhain_Moon

oh and i meant to include that i agree with TAPS... helping each other is
"where it's at", so to speak... i taught kids for the past 25 years... so gratifying watching them grow, learn and fly into their own world, a pure one that has not been putrified by disrespect and neglect, strong, happy self-assured. Pranam. j

so true avant-garde... remain possitive and centered on the light...
this might sound selfish, but it is my deepest conviction that we are all here to experience human existence but not to attach ourselves to it... we remind ourselves to see the divine in everyone and everything, to appreciate every moment possible in the "now", and to understand as much as possible about the true nature of this intentional, infinitely creative, humongous syncretic gestalt. tonight on the science channel it was shown how scientists view alternate realities... every thought creates a reality... all things then are not only possible, but probable... we are the creators on soooo many levels... we must come to understand these lessons to know more possibilities... i don't doubt much in this world... in fact, i try not to leave room for doubt, visualize... sigh... my true love is this life, such a gift and for what? to create the best possible world... that program said tonight that there are worlds in which one was never born... imagine. pranam... j

Avant-garde, The greatest sense of accomplishment is in helping the other person "make it" for when you do, you can't help but end up on top in one way or another.

I've never had a problem
Admitting my own weaknesses. I have observed that men have this problem alot more than women.

Yes. And, might I add that the confident neither gloat over their successes, nor do they envy another's success.

You expressed it very well again...
only insecure ppl will feel the need to defeat other ppl...confident ppl will try to improve themselves ...

Avant -
"Better you than me" is the ultimate example of how we have bought into the illusion of separation.

avant - I grew up with the insinuation that certain things were for "those
other people".  I wasted a lot of time and missed out on a lot of great things because that was part of my thought process. We need to be the best that we can be.  When we base our existence on who we are as compared to the next person, we are making a terrible miscalculation.
