I still moan and groan to get my own way. I find wool to be exremely itchy so I wear cotton. I still have trouble crossing the street occassionally although people don't wave to me. They flip me off.

My young son used to walk to school alone from age 8 on streets very similar to yours ;-). Some people were disapproving but sometimes what can you do? It was quite a routine - he used to pass the same people at the same time every day and so many people said hello to him daily.

Yes I remember those days well!
Mine is 16 now and can't get out of bed by himself LOL... I wish he was 7 again... pretty soon you will be an ATM machine that gives rides to everyone playing loud music and who dishes out morning wake up calls.... before you know it, what you will come to look forward to on a Friday night... is they went off to the movies with friends and you have the house all to yourself!
Thanks so much for welcoming me to Blogit by the way! You ARE a GREAT Mom I can tell by your blog and hang in there it only gets worse LOL........ nahhhhhhhhhhhh not really, but it's better than diapers that's for sure.

Symphony, it sounds like she was safe
BTW, I watched Love Actually with Hugh Grant last night and really liked it. It's hard to pull of a good romantic comedy. I loved Rowland Atkinson (Mr. Bean), he's just a hoot. Have you seen it?

Yeah, I cannot believe how quickly
the years go by now... If I have trouble letting go now, what will I do when they leave the house for good?!
I wanted to say thanks for the birthday wishes and announcement, too!

You did nothing wrong! So, quit making yourself feel bad! She is old enough to know the rules and find ehr own way to school.
