Kooka lives... I think this is a really wonderful post. I think it
may help those who do not understand (like you really care...lol) why you believe in Atheism.  Then I think,  "Why should he help people understand?  Why should his belief be the belief you have to explain "Why?".  I know, all Religions are explained by the believers...but usually no one asks us Christians.  We don't ever need a reason to Preach.  But I have to say, the belief in God is the majoritiy...and when someone who simply has a different belief pops in...."WHY?  HOW COULD YOU?".    So I think it is very big of you to give insight into how you became the man you are today.

(Long comment, I know...sorry)  And I felt you when you spoke of your teenage years.  I too was horribly horribly made fun of.  No friends, which compared to all the other shit I lived through going on...that sounds so petty.  But it is hard when you know you don't have 1 soul you could just let some of that rage out.  Kids are horrible.  My little girl was burned when she was 4, and her right arm is covered in scars.  Trying to teach her strength in herself is something I am having a hard time with having none myself.  When you are hammered for your looks, your clothes, just who you are or where you live for year after year in your most influential years - it sets the stage for how you feel and view things for life.

I do believe in God, not part of any religion.  But I do have my faith.  All that aside, I do want to say that I for one completly understand "why".   I can even say, why would you believe any different?
