that reminds me of childhood
.. though I grew up in the suburbs of Hobart, there were still some people who had chicken coops in their backyards. Oh those were the days, people getting their own authentically messy fresh eggs from the backyard coop, milk delivered in bottles on the front door (with the obligatory dolop of cream on top). Hmm must be getting old!

It could be worse! My neighbor over in Korea kept live chickens in coops not 10 meters from my bedroom window. And as any farm gal can tell you, roosters do not wait for daybreak to begin crowing! They'll start that crap at 3 AM if the mood strikes 'em.

My Neighbor Just Put Two...
plastic pink flamingos in her back yard. Now I have to look at those two pieces of kitsch every blessed time I sit down at my table to eat a sandwich with a glass of milk.
