I love the phrase "Cold Cash Jefferson"
The only thing sweeter would have been if he was hiding the money in a cookie jar.

Welcome, WordsMeanThings!
Indeed they do around here. I cannot take credit for that phrase, I purloined it from local radio host Brian Wilson (see http://www.wspd.com/pages/brian.html)

Democrats will never learn; and that's a good thing!
You hit the nail on the head; well written and cogent. I like the "lamestream media" line. I wish I'd though of it first.

Mystic???

Spin???

Like what you said in your comment?    You must have gotten your faxed info from the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee.......

Mr. Emanuel, in an interview, said: "They had to spend $5 million and the dominant message of immigration to break our message of change. It tells you how potent that message is. Not every district is going to be on the border of Mexico ."

Why, It sounds just like your comment.......or do all Liberals think alike?

Mystic

ANd the por Dem had nothing to spend but "illegal" contributions.......ROTFL!

Bob Novak summed it up nicely........

"For all the hype and the money spent on the race between former Rep. Brian Bilbray (R) and Francine Busby (D), Busby, in her loss to Bilbray, failed to exceed significantly the percentage won here by John Kerry in 2004. This is significant, because although she will have another shot at Bilbray in November, the turnout should have favored her yesterday, since Republicans had no other races to drive their turnout and Democrats had a gubernatorial primary."

Keep on thinking what you are thinking mystic!
I like that line of reasoning. That will keep the Demorcats in second place in this country. And as I always say; in this country second place is last place. It's another Democratic loss. Pure and simple. No need for excuses. The Republicans won a seat they should have never been close to keeping.

Nice spin - however, I doubt the RNC has $5 million ...
to pour into every Congressional race and very few seats border Mexico. This was a safe, gerrymandered conservative Republican state and the Republican nominee received less than 50 percent of the vote against an unabashed liberal. The Republican won only by distancing himself from Bush and going "negative."

Is this what you call a bright spot?
