- Go to Opie Taylor, Why Did You Do It?
I would like to see it but I just don't ever get to the movies
So I'm boycotting it as well but I'm boycotting all movies the same. =)

Kingmi, Everyone has their opinion. I too have been a Christian
for a long time, 48 years, and I simply to not want to be a part of anything that brings the Sonship and divinity of my Lord down!

MC56, as a lifelong christian I do not consider the book or the movie
to be much of a betrayal of Christ. I found it to be stimulating and as my older brother (57) and my 16 year-old daughter (whom he adores BTW) spend hours and hours discussing and debating, I realized what it blessing it was for our family. My own daughter actually said to me, after I pointed out that it was true that the pagan god worshipped the most in Rome before Christianity came along was a female goddess -- she actually said -- Dad, that was just fiction!
So, I do not consider it dangerous to children at all, and merely stimulating to adults. I think it is a big mistake to boycott this movie. It was a great thriller, and nothing more.

I just saw in the news -
Pakistan, of all countries, has outlawed the showing of the Da Vinci code. Could it be that a Muslim country has more respect for Jesus Christ than this one does?

Flightpath, neither do I, but it does make my childhood memories
of Opie shake just a little bit!

From what I've heard of this movie it does seem out of character for a director who once played the role of Opie!! (I have no interest seeing it.)
