Okay, the alligator fatalities happened early to mid May people.. Please

see my comment on Alligator Anxiety... Been There

I live here in Florida, and the story that is reported here is true, but happened in the late 1950's early 1960's. My grandmother told me about it when I was a kid. It was not a golf club, I don't remember what the man used to fend off the alligator. But guess what? The event occured during the alligators mating and clutching season. Please, there is really nothing to fear from alligators. I have posted some facts on my blog. Admittedly, I still have to do more research on the topic, but that is certainly something I can and will do.

Yes, Passionflower do be careful. I believe three people have been killed
in the past week.     One of the problems is that a few years ago, they quit letting hunters catch and kill as many alligators, for fear that they might become extinct.   Another great move of a governing body!

I recently wrote a similar post...
It seems like the alligators in Florida have gone mad. They've become very aggressive. I'm going to be extra careful this year when working there.

Trevor, that is true, but not on a golf course with a golf club! That
story still rings through the pages of history in Florida!

that's ridiculous!
Although I believe in respecting the lives of animals and treating them humanely, I cannot condone this judgement.  When your life is at risk, you have a right to defend it!
