Gonedome - A reply

Well we definitely share the same type of humour and I'm absolutely in love with your writing style!

I think I need to edit my "All about me" page and add you to my favourite writers!

Thanks for being awesome and my first Canadian buddy.

strat - that is exactly what it has been to me - a comedy
I had dropped the issue a couple of days ago but my not so esteemed adversary decided to come back for another whup up side the head. It occurred to me that the attention being shown to this dispute by other Blogit members, just might allow my blog to find itself extremely high in the rankings.  Since I have been here on Blogit, number 3 has been the highest that any of my blog postings has ever gone and that was for about 1/2 a day. So I used my adversary for my own gain, however miniscule that gain is and laughed my ass off as I saw it unfolding.

I know this sort of thing can be vexing.
Nonetheless, it has also been very amusing. Sorry you had to deal with it, but you should revel in the fact that this has been, if nothing else, an unfolding exercise in high comedy.

Ingi - a belated welcome to Blogit
I did my "About Me" page a long time ago, back when I first joined Blogit (called the Blogging Network back then). For some reason I was concerned about not fitting into this online community, primarly because so many of it's members were a decade or two (or three) younger than I was. So I whipped up a page that I thought was funny and would appeal to younger members.

Hey Cynthia -- how have you been?

I make no excuses for the mistakes I make in writing Amercanized English, it's always given me trouble. As did the British version of English when I first learned it, but you have hit on the single biggest reason that I still hang around Blogit. I'm going to master this language yet.

And yes, you are correct, I have never claimed to be a genius. In fact I had never brought up my past and continuing education to anyone until this little tiff arose. Mostly because I know exactly how saying these things sounds to others. A person claiming to be ultra intelligent, elevates their own standard to impossible levels as they invite heightened scrutiny by others of everything they put to print.

But ya gotta like how I rode this little dispute to number one. Rode im and beat on im like a rented mule. Okay there's gotta be a spelling mistake or two in that last sentence.

I just stumbled in to this battle with the blogger "nopeace",
at least I think that's who you are referring to here. Correct me if I'm wrong. In any case, there is some discussion going on (in his last post) about his intelligence. I agree he does not seem like the brightest bulb in the room, however Gome, just a few pointers, you say "continued anyways" the word is "anyway" no "s" my dumb ass sister-in-law says "anyways" and it drives me up a wall.  Also, in this context it's "by" not "bye". I know you don't claim to be genius, but if you attack another persons intelligence, it may come back to bite you.

Awesome!

Awesome - you like Star Trek! (I read your profile! It's a good photo by the way, at least you don't look fat!)

Me too!

BlackPearl1 - how have you been?
This is a nice thought: "Christians can love and support non-Christians without harrassing them or making them feel harrassed." and I would agree that some are capable of coexisting with non Christians but this is not always the case. There are far too many people of Christian religions that have a sense of self righteous entitlement fostered by the belief that they have God on their side.

Sophistie - they understand the rights of others allright
except it is their version of these rights. All men (and women) are created equal but if you have a bible under your arm and proclaim yourself to be a Christian, then you are just a little more equal.

Many Do Not Understand Violation of Rights
They only see or think in terms of self!!  Ignore, block, or report.

Hi, gomedome,
I'm surprised that the other blogger wouldn't stop leaving the comments, bible quotes, as you requested, especially when you asked to come to an agreement about not leaving Archie quotes on his blog.  Christians can love and support non-Christians without harrassing them or making them feel harrassed.  I don't know what else to say, except, feel free to leave Archie quotes on my blog comments area anytime.  I love the Archie comics.  :)

pkcricket - there is nothing to be sorry about - It's just a fact of life
for those who are not Christian and don't want to be.
