Better update that link, Xenox!
The page has been taken down by the

My Lai All Over Again?
...incompetence? We hope Haditha isn;t My Lai, because the US isn't about that kind of thing, but it doesn;t look good. The report now coming out states that the 24 dead civilians were not killed by a road side bomb, but that they had been shot in the head and chest. Rumours circulate that the killing was done by enraged marines avenging the death of one of one of their own. $38,000 was paid to 15 relatives of victims...and now a coverup inquiry is underway...and in Afghanistan, a runaway US army truck mowed down and killed three civilians....civilains die in combat regions, that's true, and the world is filled with awful governments and the Taliban in Afghanistan were/are particularly loathsome and need to be stopped. US forces may be spread too thin and the conflict in Iraq was never a necessary undertaking and was entered into with pure incompetence, from the top down. Jumping to Iraq and not finalizing the job in Afghanistan was a major blunder, a decision made by incompetent leaders, which makes for incompetent soldiers who operate under stress and therefore, are prone to make mistakes. There was a time when the other Bush didn;t finish his job either, when the people in southern Iraq were jung out to be slaughtered by Hussein's henchmen. Could be My Lai.
