Good for you Xeno.
I don't believe Xeno is asking to be worshipped.  What kind of egocentric person would demand that everybody in the world worship them?  Oh wait, I know...

kimlynn, nice post but . . . .
I fear you're wasting your time and energy responding to someone who supposedly is NOT anti-Christian, but who should probably be called a "New Age my god is whatever I want it to be and my religion is whatever I choose and my bible is interpreted however I want it to be" type believer.  Whatever that is.

Which World?

The faith of God does not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.  His wisdom is not of this world, as his Kingdom is not of this world. If the princes of this world had known the mystery of his wisdom they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. (I Cor.)  God didn't call his people to conform to this world, but actually to be separate from it.  If Christianity is based on  being Christlike or a follower of the Christ of the Bible, is the word of the God of the Bible true or a lie?  If any of it is not true, then maybe it WAS all written out of man's mind, and if that's the case, whose to say if any of it is any good for anything?  But if God inspired the words of these books which he calls "Living," and says they are all good for instruction and reproof, then what do we do with the words that do not in any way tell us to "be like" this world or "conform" to this world, or even try to save "this world?"  God says we "Christians" are One in His Spirit....not in a worldy mind...so what kind of Christianity are you talking about, is it a doctrine of men?

No anamosity here, though it may seem, apparently you have some obsession with the subject, and I wonder what it is.  Are you for or against the Bible and the God of the Bible, or do you not believe the words that he calls Inspired and Living, or....are you processing them from the wisdom of man's logic, from a natural mind? Clearly the natural mind receives not the things of God for they spiritually discerned, and foolishness to the natural mind, and are you saying they are foolish?

Despite all the debate and strife, the bottom line is....God loves you!  That's the real issue isn't it?  Do you agree that God loves you and me?  Do you believe there is a God and that despite all that man has done and has in his mortal power to do that God is still the Power in control?  That he has power to have a book written...even by the hands of man, to contain the words he inspired upon the hearts of man to write?  Or did he not have the power, but man wrote words inspired out of his own mind?  Is it true, or part true, or not true? Is Christ the Son of God?  Is there good and evil?  Is there an adversary, called the god of this age, the prince and power of the air, who has one intent toward you....to kill, steal, and destroy?  Is Satan real?  And if so, what's his part in all this?  And if not, was the idea of him that is often spoken of in the Bible just a concoction out of the minds of men?  If he is a spirit also, and if God is a Spirit, what's the difference between the natural mind and Spirit?

Again, the God of Christianity is a loving God who says He sent his Son to this world to show us the way to His Kingdom, which is not of this world, even says the Kingdom of God is not an outward one, but within you.  Are we talking about the same God and same Bible and same Truth that leads to Life?   I find that his truth is full of instruction on how to live in this present world, but again he says the way to Life is not by conforming to this world or getting in line at the wide gait that leads to destruction, but walking on the narrow path.....

Do you know how it feels to know something's missing?  To hear a still small voice that you keep on dismissing?  Do you know how it feels to be troubled inside, to think that for you, on the cross someone died?  Do you know how it feels when your cold heart has melted, to have your sins washed away never to be remembered, and to know Heaven is Real?  Do you know how it feels?     C'mon, I know you've been fishing for a "Christian" response.....and debate just leads to more strife and debate....and endless circle of going nowhere....it doesn't matter what any of us think....what matters is finding the Truth, and it's not contained in the logic of man's wisdom, all that he can imagine and concoct in his mortal mind.....again....God is not Learned, He's Revealed....and not to a man's mind, but to his heart....when....his heart opens the door to Jesus who knocks.  God loves you...just like me...no man is my enemy....but there is an enemy...who hates God and his creation...and it's not mortal man....but he is behind the strife and trouble that mortal man faces, so while we throw darts at each other he sits back and laughs because he's got our minds consumed with targeting the people God loves, which includes you, having disbelieving minds blinded, lest the glorious gospel of Christ should shine the Truth unto us.  The greatest war is not man's but God's....and He will inevitablly put all enemies under his feet.

Xeno -
I think Christianity is changing, slow though it be. More and more are looking at alternatives to Roman Catholicism and more liberal Catholic churches are springing up.
