Okay! That about covers it.

I really appreciated all the comments (and emails) expressing concern.  And I hope to be back blogging by Monday (if not sooner).

Have a great (remainder of the) weekend, everyone!

Not sure how I was feeling three days ago, Rcky ... though probably lousy.

Anyways, thanks for asking.

Very vivid description of the alien in your stomach. I think I'll pass on the McD's.

A Gnomic creation

But I don't think you ever told us what that amazing thing was. Maybe the Gnome materialized it for you.

Madamoiselle
Its not mental. You're ill and you need hospital care, as long as it takes. The tests will show what it is and I pray it is nothing serious.

Wow Madame......

How are you feeling today?  And what was that thing?  Any diagnosis yet? I hope you are back to your cute little sarcastic self real soon!

Mademoiselle,
I do hope you are feeling better now that you and Charlie have parted company.  Your mother thinks it's all in your head? What about the stuff in the plastic bag?  Take care.

as someone who's constantly looking out for the health of dogs my first
thought is, how's your ( please forgive the dogtalk) poo?  regular? firm?  poo quality is an excellent signpost to the inner goings-on of any living creature.  dogs being the scavengers they are, some of the poo is actually entertaining, like a cereal box, free toy inside!

That's not a bad assumption, Darrke ...
It sure would explain my grades last semester.

I have a strict policy against "burial at sea", Factor.
Please don't ask me to abandon my principles.

I hope you and, um, Charlie are feeling better soon.  (I've usually assumed that mucousy stuff is actually melted down brain tissue...in which case I may not have much left...)

How very sweet, Factor ...

And no, I still have Charlie.  The doctors didn't want him ... for some strange reason.

If I ever become famous, I can donate him to the Mutter Museum (here in Philly) where, among other oddities, they display Grover Cleveland's brain tumor and Chief Justice John Marshall's gall stones.

I hope it's green tea.

On a related note, I'm currently attempting to convince my brother to go get me a slurpee and a muffin, seeing as I'm too weak to do so myself.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 31, 2006 at 6:55 AM | link to this | reply

Ah, reading you brings back such memories...

I don't write about them though because I figured everyone would be totally grossed out. It seems bloggers like to be grossed out though?

I hope that you have given Charlie up for adoption.

Feel better...I am sure everything will be fine once they figure out what's up and give you the right medicines if necessary still...   Keep us posted of course...you know I'm going to worry if you don't post every day of so now...

The correlation between the mental and the physical holds the key.  Relax and let the doctors find the problem.  Thanks for commenting on my post.  I dared not inflict physical pain on the student.  It would have been nice if I had been able to administer corporal punishment as some school disticts in Florida still permit!!  Take care!!

Obviously, this is nothing compared to what you went through, Azur.
Meanwhile, the doctors don't seem to think it's food related.  They feel my "symptoms" may have begun much further back.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 30, 2006 at 10:15 PM | link to this | reply

I don't want to dwell on
or in hospitals but could it be that this and your restaurant experience are linked?

Maybe you should have named
the blob "Mental" and had her hold it. Geesh.  That's not normal at all.  I've had food poisoning before, but not like that.  That sounds like a severe kidney infection.  I hope you're feelingbetter soon.

Good point, Cesium ...

My mother is a huge believer in psychosomatic syndrome, and there's just no convincing her otherwise.  Despite the fact that my therapist doesn't even buy into it.

(I had to cancel my session tonight, btw.)

What a sweet thing to say.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 30, 2006 at 8:01 PM | link to this | reply

Yeah, PassionFlower, I've considered that possibility ...
However, I rarely eat their seafood (or anyone else's, actually).  Plus, the doctor seemed to dismiss the notion of food poisoning, altogether.

Mademoiselle,
Please stop throwing up our facking implants. Do you realize how far we've traveled to abduct you?

Sheesh

Sorry to hear that.  Glad you're okay.

On the psychosomatic note, if you could cause that much by just thinking about it, you should have been able to heal your hand a while back too.

Madam
Maybe it was just some bad food poisoning.  I hope that's all it is.  I'd try to say something funny, but you're better with the jokes than I am  :).

Be well.  And take care of yourself dammit!  You're one of the few reasons I keep coming back here :).

Could be salmonella...I've had that and this sounds like

The symptoms. The cause of mine was tainted Mayo...Let this be a warning to you...don't eat potato salad that has sat outside in the sun for several hours...warm sunlight will cause bacteria to grow...the bad kind that will kill you or make you wish you were dead.

Now...Let's talk about why we feel this way about our mother.
