Hi, scriber,
I always find myself trying to get into the head of the characters you write in your poems.  Sometimes I think I'm there, but I'm just not quite as deep as I'd like.  There seems to be a disparaging situation here, but the character shrugs it off with some of "that's life" type of acceptance.  It makes me wonder if maybe he's in the wrong place at the wrong time, or born into an unfortunate, unavoidable circumstance.  Thanks for making me think.  :)
