"MISSED SOMETHING..."
THE QUESTION IS ACTUALLY A QUITE SIMPLE ONE: IT IS NOT WHETHER OR NOT THERE IS A SUPREME BEING (STRICTLY SPEAKING, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PROVE THIS USING THE CURRENT STATE OF THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD ). THE REAL QUESTION IS: THAT, OF THE TWO POSSIBILITIES ( HE EXISTS OR HE DOESN'T) IS IT MORE
LOGICAL TO DEDUCE THRU LOGICAL REASONING, ALONE) THE HIGHER PROBABILITY OF ONE OVER THE OTHER ? I THINK IT MOST DEFINITELY IS! SEE THE LOGICAL REASONING TECHNIQUE USED BY THE FATHER OF THE ATOMIC THEORY OF MATTER, A FELLOW NAMED DEMOCRITUS. HE LIVED A FEW 1000 YEARS AGO! BUT YOU SEEM TO BE A BRIGHT FELLOW/GAL; YOU CAN RESEARCH THAT. IN THE MEANTIME, STAY TUNED TO US. I THINK THAT AS TIME GOES BY, WE WILL ADDRESS ALL YOUR QUESTIONS TO YOUR SATISFACTION. I AM NOT A " RELIGIOUS NUT." I AM A MATURE RETIRED PROFESSIONAL WHO HAS MADE HIS LIVING IN THE SCIENTIFIC ARENA ALL HIS LIFE.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR COMMENTS! I VALUE THEM HIGHLY. STAY TUNED!

uhm...I missed something
I fail to see how logic dictates belief in one supreme being. Logic implies physical evidence-hearing, seeing, touching, feeling. I have yet to see any of this in support of a creator. And the old "somebody had to create everything" line doesn't work. Yes, something drives creation. NO, it does not have to be a phycial creator.

common sense
Thank you, MasonGarrett, for your voice of reason above the noise!
Unfortunately, common sense seems to be uncommonly seen!

Thank you for proving a point that I have been trying to make.
A lot of atheists really do think that all Christians are stupid. Thanks.

Dear "i don't"
I am not "ranting and raving" about anything and never will. I only state calmly what I believe to be true and leave it to my readers to decide for themselves. I have no problems with Christians, only with some of their absurd practices. If, by "suitcase," you mean excess baggage, I disposed of all that stuff years ago and have none for you to carry. Go your own way, my dear. This is a site for rational, and caring intellectuals, and, since you "don't know" what I'm talking about, you obviously don't belong here!

..nice to hear some common sense religion for a change...
even God can't beat a pair of Aces with a pair of Jacks.. that would destroy the game... it's all a matter of free will choice....

i don't
I don't know what you are ranting and raving about. None of it makes sense to me. Do you have a problem with Christians? Would you like me to carry your suitcase for you?
Just offering...

YOUR COMMENTS
IN CASE YOU HAVE NOT SEEN MY EMAIL TO YOU,
THANK YOU SO MUCH, NAOREM, I AM MOTIVATED BY THE DESIRE TO ATTRACT ALL SERIOUS-MINDED, TOLERANT, AND SENSITVE INTELLECTUALS OF THE ENTIRE WORLD TO THE SAME PLACE. WOULDN'T THAT BE GREAT?
