I agree - the movie was almost forgettable
especially in comparison to the book but then they do say that movies and books are never the same!

Gosh, Nanaroo,
Another so-so review. Well, I guess Ron Howard and Tom Hanks can't strike gold every time... I'm likely to wait for the DVD. Thanks. :)

Everybody has been saying it was boring....
I've read both of the books...pretty good fiction.......it would be hard to be able to make it work in a movie.......I don't see Tom Hanks as the Professor....I'll wait for the DVD.

I have enjoyed the book. When you have read the booom the movie is based on
you have to choose, perhaps... is it the movie or the book that you prefer? IN another case, like the "RUSSIA HOUSE" with Sean Connery, I have never read the book by Le Carre' - and I have it.

from what I've heard, they tried to follow the book too closely.
All the art history and details doesn't make for an exciting movie. I'm definitely waiting for dvd....

..as an artist, I studied him a lot in my youth... he was an incredibly
intelligent and prolific man with many interests... He didn't actually 'invent' all that stuff... he simply had the intelligence to write it all down in his notebooks, ideas that where comming from brilliant people all around him.... The Da Vinci Code? ... in 200 years some hack writer will be dreaming up the, "Lucy Code," and revealing what she really meant in all those marvelous comic skits... and those of us who were around at the time are the ones who know the truth... she was simply a brilliant and very prolific comedian...

I found it silly and rather boring, actually ...
Made me glad I never bothered to read the novel.
