Ell still starts each day with a cup or two of Earl Grey Tea. Now and then, depending on what she is eating, she will drink English Breakfast Tea instead.

Wacky that was a charming post. I truly enjoyed it.
Taps I liked your comment too. I could see it. If one could get high on tea not just high tea, us Southerners would stay high! We drink tea all day in the summer. I am not a sweet tea drinker, but I like my iced tea!

Whacky, I had high tea for my grandsons once, HAHA. I got out a pretty china tea set that I've had packed away for a long time, scones and marmalade and pretty flowers and linen napkins with china rings. I taught them how to hold the fancy cups in their clumsy fingers (they were used to hot chocolate in fat mugs) and told them we must sit and chat about cabbages and kings. I poured the tea from the beautiful teapot and they were fascinated by it all and tried to behave properly and not laugh. It was a lot of fun.

Whackydotter!!
You are an absolute joy to read. My mum was a Brit, and if you didn't slosh hot water around in the teapot first, before you even put the tea in, she'd threaten to "box your ears." lol

Delightful post. I'm always enamored of other cultures, and how they do things.

I liked this tale...
And now I wonder if it is genetic somewhat... my mom has the English ancestry and she loves her tea. I like it too, but I prefer those English Breakfast and Earl Grey types...

I love iced tea
I mix it with lemonade. I do not have any scones, but will a doughnut be alright?

Delightful post!
I, too, am big on tea, although I prefer to drink it HOT. Loved the dialogue with your English friend. I think I gained weight while in Scotland. My Scottish friend took me from relative to relative, and we had so many high teas and teas and of course all the regular meals as well that I was quite stuffed by the time I left. Speaking of which, I am tentatively planning a trip to Scotland in September, so need to lose a few pounds now to accomodate any weight gain there. . . .

I'm a big TEA person...
It has to be Lipton's. It has to be made a certain way. I make a whole pitcher of it at once using he Family Size bags. The taste and smell are important but mostly the color. Tea made right has a golden amber color.

i absolutely love the smell of tea but can't stand the effect on my tongue
so i don't drink it. and i've searched around, too. i've tried so many different kinds of teas, i've lost track. i never used to drink coffee either, not until i was thirty and stone cold broke. coffee was practically a food group for awhile there.

Funny post--
my favorite tea is the Chocolate Caramel Enchantment by Celestial Seasonings...kind of like a nice dessert! And Trader Joe's has bottled Green Tea with orange and bergomot that is very tasty too!

I love tea.
So does my three year old, Sarah Jeanne. She drinks it as often as I'll make it, and the stronger it is, the faster she gulps it. I like it black (tea) with a little sugar and a third half and half or chocolate soy milk. Yummmmmmy.

Unlike the rest of my family, I don't drink tea, unless I'm sick. As for cow poop, I never tried that either...
