LOL.....Now that is the kind of daft thing I would do Taps; welcome to the club. I watched another gas jockey opening up a flap today and he hung the cord holding the top, over the flanges.

Johnmcnab, now you've done it. I'm going to have to put on my shoes and go see if my car has two metal flanges on the inside of the little door. Hold on, I'll be right back. Well, it doesn't, but it did at one time because there is a circle enclosing the word CAP and an arrow pointing downward and a place where something was broken off. Wow, I didn't know that either.
