Too True...
At my most religious point I was reading/studying/praying about the Bible and it was the BIBLE that was the source of the doubts that eventually lead me away from the Church I was in and the "Christian" faith in general. I did fine, right about the the part where the Isrealites have been wandering around in the desert for 40 years and are about to take the promised land. God tells them to conquer the existing nations/cities and leave no one alive...not women, children, (or cattle if I remember right). I have never been able to believe that the Bible is 100% the word of God and that He really ordered that genocide back then. As history, and the belief of the people at the time, sure. But if there is really a God and he is all the Christians claim (i.e. fair and just) then how could he order that?
Oh, we don't really understand God because we are so small and he is so big.
Great, but HE is supposed to be unchanging and all that too...according the the Christian doctrine. So why is it in 2000 BC we go kill everyone of a certain race and in 40 AD we are sharing the gospel with the whole world? Seems like a change to me.
As for your blog, you might get farther if you try to build some consensus first. For instance, the Islamic terrorists are committing human sacrifices by flying their planes into buildings. (Most would agree, I think.) Then try to explain that is the same as Bush invading Iraq in God's name. (You'll still lose a lot since "we're right and they're wrong", but it might persuade a few.)

My opinion
There is true Christianity and there is false Christianity. Sometimes I wonder if I really "fill the bill". All "religions" are guilty of bloodshed, including the ones which regard the State rather than God as the highest authority." There are none righteous, no not one". If you have time, please read "Constantines Sword"," Mongols vs China", and "Saigon 1971" in my blog.
