Blackpearl, that's interesting, your comment
about the comfort of sleeping in your mothers bed when you were troubled. I think that says a lot about the positive and intimate relationship we have with our mothers. I on the other hand had no such intimacy or feeling for my mother. She was the source of most of my distress and the last person I ever went to for solace.

Hi, Cynthia,
I remember that teen years are very hard, awkward years. At least they were for me. :) Anyway, some 20 years later, they must be even more challenging for today's teens. Sounds like Erika is in a bit of a culture shock, which is hard enough on adults. I'm glad you're taking her feelings into consideration, even if it takes a while to resolve them. I remember also, that being allowed to sleep in my mom's bed when I'm feeling down helped a lot. Good luck to you. :)

Original Influence, This is the most recent chapter
in my ongoing memoir. I started it when I joined Blogit (when it was the BLOGGING NETWORK) 3 years ago, so to read the whole thing in the proper sequence, you have to scroll back to the beginning and read forward. It's a pain, and there is a TON of writing;-)
