Hi Silver moon
you are right about the pampering part. what an important thing to do. i am all discouraged lately. about my car even. someone, a college kid vandal kicked a bunch of cars in on their sides in the neighborhood, leaving mine all dented and ugly. now i don't care to wash it or anything cept checking the oil. it's very disheartening when i see the side of my cute little car that i worked hard for. the vandalism is a symbol of the crap in the world and everytime i see it i get all bummed...sigh...

Before I married, I loved to bring my car for a wash every Thursday after work. I had to get out of the car, and it was brought through the wash. at the end, some young high school boys dried it off, vaccuumed and deoderized the interior, cleaned all the mirrors. It cost me around ten bucks, including the tip. Kind of an expensive car wash, eight years ago. It was less about the car being dirty, than it was a way of pampering myself.
