- Go to I'm NOT a Mom, dammit
Hi
I must admit - Mother's Day strikes fear into my heart - What if I suddenly get a phone call from a child I didn't know I had!

Nanaroo,
I made peace with my non-mother status a long time ago, but I agree, who needs to make an issue out assuming that every woman is or should be one?

Nanaroo,
What??? You mean this "obligation" doesn't go away? That's just great... Last night, last night, I tell you, I got two Happy Mother's Day text messages from my cousin. She knows I'm not a mom, but for some reason I got the same message twice. Of course it also included "Mothers to Be" and "Mother Like". Is that some sort of hint? What is the deal???? I don't even have pets!

Everyday, I FEEL like a mom! The only good thing is, I can send them home at the end of the day! LOL
Have a great day!

Ironic.
I am a mother of two which my co-workers refuse to believe and I can not so much as get a "shout out" as they say. Go figure.

Or you could rent a kid and then have the kid spit on everyone who wishes
you a Happy Mother's Day! That'd teach them! I guarantee they'd never do it again! I know several people who'd be happy to rent their's out!
Happy day-just-like-any-other-day!

I received mother's day cards from my nieces... one is my godchild, so
okay. But then I got one from my mom. WHY? She said, well, you're a godmother. I just rolled my eyes at her. STOP sending me mother's day cards. I'm not a mom.

remember that people say it because they're brimming over with love for
mothers everywhere, we ourselves may not be moms but we all have (had) moms. let's use our positive energy to embrace and spread the love to others that may be lacking in their own lives.
or if you'd rather, you could say, "yeah, that's me. one mean mutha!" lol
