Go to Religion in the Modern World

franciscan - actually both
There is no denying the realities of the effects, as perpertrated and experienced by the God squad. The effects are very real. It's the power of positive thinking with deferred responsibility and it may work for some . . . . BUT . . . If I'm gonna be responsible for the outcome, I'm not leaving the outcome up to some invisible guy of your choosing. . . . . .your guy got nailed to some boards in public . . . what in the heck kind of role model is that?

You're not experiencing what we're experiencing. Are you flatly denying the reality of what we experience or would you prefer to say something like maybe we're experiencing a kind of psychosis?

redwood - that's right on and exactly what dialogue through comments
in a public forum should be.
The reality is a little different however. When discussing the subject of religion, there are many who are incapable of intelligent and reasonable dialogue. The notion of learning something, anything at all from those of divergent religious perspective, is something that they are simply not capable of. You will see this demonstrated here inevitably as it has been many times in the past.

the fun of blogging
I have only been doing this blogging stuff for a couple of weeks, but it seems to me that the purpose of this is to engage in constructive debate and learn from others, as well as to express a point of view. Sometimes we can learn and get new ideas from those who have a defferent perspective. Constructive and reasonable debate should serve to strengthen a valid point of view rather than compromise it.
