Wow, I can raise the dead!!

Mayvbe I oughta try the lottery?

I think I see somewhat...if a blog is floating in a sea of dead b logs, even one hit flips it up rapidly over the rest of the field, to mix a metaphor.

When a Blogit member comments on an older entry/blog that has not been updated in a while, other members may see that comment via the New Comments page and click on the blog to check it out.

If enough members do that, an old entry/blog can start to increase in popularity because of the dozens or hundreds of page views it is suddenly starting to get even though there has been no new content added.

There were well over 6,000 blogs that were more popular than the blog you mention until your comment drew attention to it and caused other members to check it out. A similar situation would occur if an older blog continues to interest enough members who may be browsing thru a category and wanting to read it even though the content hasn't been updated recently.

Thank you.
