Let me educate you on another principle of Republican - or, rather, conservative - thought: Don't waste time like Feingold is doing on phony issues.

Fiengold is correct. Those who want a big brother type government saw their opening after 9-11 and have used the war on terror as an assault on basic liberty. Normally, you'd guess it would be the Republicans that would be most up in arms about this.
