The correct title is 'After Death or Letters From Julia (1909)', compiled by Hon. William T. Stead.

I ordered it off of Amazon.com. It was published in 1909, and reprinted through Kessinger Publishing.

I think that what we are scared of is losing what we know.

Avant-Garde,
I have read of other "near death" accounts and they do seem to follow that same pattern, so it makes me think there is something to them.  What lies beyond that light seems to be the mystery, but if there is so much peace, how can that be scary?

Not an unfamiliar concept to me, but every account holds some new puzzle pieces...  "I am here to teach you the Laws of the New Life..."    *click!*

I've tried it, but with little success. I think I do more inspirational writing than anything. Thanks for sharing your experiences with me. I love to hear of them.

Avant......

This was wonderful.  BTW, I am practicing automatic writing with my Spirit Guide. I also think some of my photography is along the same lines.  All of a sudden I get an urge to pick up my camera and take a picture at a specific spot.  Many times I come up with an interesting photo.  That is how my mom communicated with me 9 months after she died (which I will post soon...I have the photo!) Hope you and your family are doing great!

The book is worth looking at, but there are more that are even more interesting.

They were written through the hand of a distinguished gentleman in 1909. Julia was the woman who had passed, and told of her experiences via automatic writing.

Avant -
I'm with Marshallengraved. Is this a novel of letters? Did the dead person come back to life and that's how the letters were written? I'm very curious.

avant garde...
I'd like to know more about the author of those letters...

Shreveport
I can't remember the name of the place. It was not a huge facility; not exactly a hospital, more like a rest home.  My uncle lived in the  Shreveport area for 53 years. They had six kids (three boys, three girls). They are all now between about 44 to 56 years of age.  My Aunt (his widow) lives in Karnack, Texas, which was where they lived after he retired. He was an engineer who worked for a power company.  One of my cousins lives in Shreveport (works for Pesnell law firm), one lives in Bossier City.  The others are kinda scattered around the south.
I think that area is wonderful.  Everyone is really friendly.

Were you at a hospital? There are eight there. Shreveport is a pretty nice place, but I grew up there and my job was taking care of criminals and homeless people, among others who really needed my help.

a Shreveport experience
I noticed that your bio says that you were originally from Shreveport.  I went there in '02 because I wanted to see my uncle before he passed on.  He had cancer.  Although I had only seen him a few times in my life, I liked him a lot.  When I went into his room, he hugged me and we spoke briefly. Then he passed out. He died the next day.  I was holding his hand when he passed on.
My cousin told me that he was determined to live until he saw me.  For what ever reason.
