The puzzle comes when we put ourselves into the situation, rather than taking ourselves out. Great post!

I think perhaps that all too often, one discounts the "enfeeble" part until it is much too late.

I'm thinking of deception and how the maze gets more tangled and tricky the more we lie so the best course of action is stick to the truth because you can remember and relieve that in order to escape strangulation.
(It's too late -- Ambien weirds me out!) Time to quit reading and go to bed.

Good post, Avant-Garde,
"Is not the way out, the way in"? Most cages are of our own making, when I look behind myself, or see clearly, that is, when I begin to really see clearly: the door has been there all the time. Smoke and mirrors.

Intriguing thought
I've been feeling a bit low today and completely lacking in energy so this is a good place to visit to get myself going again.

our cat
Again, this makes me think of our cat. She like to get into enclosures of different types. Cabinets, closets, boxes.,shelves, you name it. I think that your post explains why. says something about people, too
