Hi Sophistie....I think Azur said it best....
That the audience was small, but an instant audience....In other words, you can test all kinds of writing out here, and someone will kindly stumble on to your work and give you an honest critique within hours...Pretty cool....

I don't care about blogging in itself...
writing is much more important to me...my main goal is to improve my writing skills and that's the reason of my presence here...

This is definitely instant Gratification.
It's also much easier to hold a relationship with someone on a one-dimensional level.

Sophistie, it is not true that one cannot retire by blogging. Writing under the name of a prior incarnation, I posted the following comment to Blogit. I did the math although the sum I was aiming for would probably not allow retirement these days. "I love Blogit. I've been blogging for 9 days and so far I've made $4.70. Of course, I blog far more than I work. In just 214,772 years I'll be able to retire (not adjusting for inflation.) Thank you Blogit. " -- Strangelove .

I write fiction which I someday hope to publish. I wouldn't have gotten to diligently writing if not for blogit. People make comments and keep me writing. Its good.

Burly, You are Absolutely Right About That!!
I tell it like it is, regardless! I do my best to do it nicely, yet no matter how it is sugar coated, people only want to hear what they want to hear and from whom! Thanks for commenting!

Its been my experience that we usually tell people what they want to hear and hide the truth. It should be the other way around.

Blogging
for me is about 'letting go' and at the same time gathering. Its about unburdening myself and about feeding myself.

Blogging is cool

For me....
It's a sense of community and a release at the same time............no, we won't get rich......but earning enough to cover the cost is fine with me.....
And who want's to go through all the moves required to earn the bigger bucks......there's a real life out there to enjoy! God made it just for us!
