Maybe I'm wrong (perish the thought! 
) but I thought they counted it as martrydom only if you're blowing yourself up killing infidels.
And, yes, the criminal justice did work, but my issue is that this should never been handled as a criminal matter in the first place. Not to mention having to pay for his room and board for who knows how long.

Now, if only we could see to it that his gaurds are all female and that he gets hosed down with pig's blood everyday.
But that would only insult pigs worldwide.......

I love this one—if he’d been put to death, he’d become a martyr,...................as if denying the enemy this would-be martyr would have any influence at all on their jihad. It seems to me that in the Middle East, you can’t fling a dead cat without hitting a martyr. Writer...they have already announced that he will be in solitary 23 hours a day, and eat his meals alone. That still allows for an hour for him to meet his real judge....we can only hope they send him to Leavenworth......

I would like to see him dead...
But I have to agree with Scoop, we don't need to make him a martyr. Now, if only we could see to it that his gaurds are all female and that he gets hosed down with pig's blood everyday.

Don't blame the court the court did its job, the jury made the decision
that is the way the criminal justice system works. If we killed him he would be a martyr to all of his asshole followers.
