Taps, I am sure that I'll be fine
but for the moment I am overwhelmed and tired. I will be moved out of here by Sunday. The hard part is that the kitchen belongs to he and Meg. And no woman wants another one in her kitchen, even if the kitchen is in bad shape and the person is just trying to help. Just light a candle for me

Oh, my, mikes_goddess
I know exactly what you are talking about.   I had to rescue my son and his kitchen several months after Patti died.   All during her last illness, her funeral time and months of grieving, he wanted to be alone and spent most of his time drinking alcohol.   I would take him enticing dishes that I had lovingly prepared and they would collect in his refrigerator and grow gray hair.   But, he was embarrassed to let me see what his kitchen had become.    I hope you have the strength and endurance to make it the kind of kitchen that you want to be in while you cook.
