i guess it really depends on your purpose for writing!
if its to get stuff written and your thoughts out there like on blogit then do it but if you write for a paper or something then you must be mindful of your audience!

my father has a succession of diaries that has been peeked into
on occasion (with his knowledge). general consensus is that he's writing with the ego/idea that it will someday be read by everyone. it's extremely edited with no honest feelings being recorded, more like events and "i did this" and "i did that". makes for rather dry reading.

Tiger: Intresting Maxium
Though it is one of those deep concepts that need a bit of reflection before it becomes real.

you're actually right about the write like nobody's reading". That's what I was going to put in initially and didn't even notice the typo until you pointed it out - ironically enough, it's going right on topic with this essay!

write as if no one is reading, which is close to the truth.

I often sense that people are reading but not commenting
for whatever reason. I think that is best to write without worrying about who may read. I learnt over time to worry less and I have learnt that whatever we may think is outrageous or risky rarely seems so to the reader so we might as well go the whole hog

Good Advice!
I know a few people who could use it! I'll tell them to build paragraphs like nobody's looking!
