- Go to If One is Doing Love, But Not Being Love, Then it is Not Love. It is Fear.

I think you were right! And though this post does remind one of Samhain Moon, I was actually inspired by a wonderful book I am currently reading by Christoper Moore. It's called "Lamb: The Gospel of Jesus as Told by Biff, His Childhood Pal." It's a take on the early years of Christ told by his best friend Levi, known as Biff.

I like this. Reminds me of someone else's posts (hmmm.) This reminds me of form and content in A Course in Miracles. We can have the 'form' of love- the rituals, the acts, the ideas- but without understanding the underlying content, it is not love but fear.

For me, there is only love and fear. Hate is an aspect of fear. We hate because we fear. We become angry because at its core, our anger is based in fear. And I agree with you that God is love, but I also believe we can be that love too. That should be one of the goals of one on the spiritual path. I also agree that love is an action, but love done without inhabiting it as a state of being is conditional at best, I believe. Thanks for stopping by and reading.

Yeah, it is hard to see it in yourself. Sometimes the only way I know is if someone points it out to me.

Hmmmmm... Love or Fear and Not Love and the Opposite Hate
I think love is a action word more so than a state of being for an individual. We show love by what we do for others and how we accept treatment from others. We can see what we do for others and they can be the recipients and it can be measured. There is no measuring stick for the feeling of love. I think God is the only one who is love.

Love or fear? Hard to tell in myself, but I can usually tell when the person that says they are loving me is in fear instead of love.
