Apologies accepted!
I can just see you pounding your keyboard to rubble under the passion of your keystrokes. Channel that passion constructively, my friend.

Sorry for the outburst here. I sometimes just get so frustrated with all the complaining and the lack of forward movement on the issues. Again, my apologies.

Thanks for reading!
Agreed, that retirement package was not a wise move, whether it was merited or not.
Corbin, this is a secret, but I chose that title to lure in the liberals. Makes it more fun.
Xenox, right about how at least part of the ga$ tax revenues are used, but why no objection to how high the taxes are? And, really, do you cut back your ga$ usage because of the taxe$?
Language, Arley, language!
But exactly the point, participate in our democracy and vote for the candidates who will do what needs to be done.

Keep it in perspective folks.
Of the people, by the people, for the people...
If you don't like the way the government is taxing the hell out of us, then sprout a couple of testicles and vote the bastards out of office! Don't stand on the side lines bitching if you haven't got the guts to really do something about it. Christ all mighty, what a bunch of whiny, snot nosed, cry babies. It's our country people, if we don't like what is happening then we have the power to change it. Turn off the fucking television, get off your ass, and state your case!
I bid you peace and understanding. Arley White

l;ets erase all the texes on gas
and watch consumers use it at every more prodigious rates
and the prices rise as a result of that
and watch our highways deteriorate because of lack of funding.
but then again we won't balance the budget as well as we have in past years (lol) since the gas taxes are added to the general revenue for that purpose any more.

The taxes are too high, but scoop is correct.
The oil company we have stock in does the same thing. Oh, it was stock options the guy exercised when he retired and I know they had been collected over many years of great service to the company. But many millions of dollars are too excessive. And the stockholders don't pay attention. When the wife and I get our proxy statement we study it carefully and vote against what we think is bad. Very few people do that.

I agree the taxes are crazy but I think when people see the kind of money
that the oil company CEO got last week when he retired, hits people the wrong way, his retirement package was obscene compared to people who actually work for a living.
