The greater will swallow the lessor, and the USA will watch it happen and do nothing.
Look at the "trade imbalance", look at the "money manipulation" China vs USA.
USA did nothing when Nepal fell. USA will do nothing for Taiwan, agreement/treaty or no.
My opinion.
Historically the USA has done poorly in the Asian Sphere of Influence. We just can not seem to wrap our minds around the Asian mindset.
Hmmm but then we are not so hot in dealing with the Eastern and Middle Eastern mindsets either...
