Azur,
I agree with TAPS.  Writing is not always the cure, but it sure does help.  Thanks.  :)

Azur,
I find sometimes when I've been sick that my emotions are close to the surface, and so I journal, but I do that anyway.  It's all raw data, some of it can be mined, I think, for more polished work.  I may get to that later.

Good to hear you're on the mend Azur
I've a few old shoeboxes stuffed and have filled many a wastepaper basket with outpourings best unread. But it does clear the mind and heart nicely.

Azur
I have found that I too write to ease my pain. Occasionally I have had the poor judgement to post those writings here, but it does help to write it out, to help heal.  Glad you are feeling better.

Azur -- it was only a matter of time...
till you were ready to face the blank page again -- and the full plate.  In an earlier comment I said I laugh when I say I'm a writer, and you're right, it's because of the inherent joy, but it's also because nobody much takes this seriously. You say you're retired and they nod, you say you're a researcher and they may ask what you do research on. But you say you're a writer and they want to know if you're published... sigh. :)

I so agree Azur...
...I think sometimes that it's our darkest times that help us create the best writing..not that I'm looking or wishing darkness on anyone!!  Glad to hear you're over the worst of that stomach problem!!

I think Dave is right. Writing can be a best therapy.

I know it from my own experience. Writing down your thoughts can help you clean your emotions from your head. In my case, I will be always so thankful to my therapist, who send me to blogit. It was his idea to cure my soul. Thanks to him, I have" Blogit adventure" and you have me here. I hope both side enjoy this situation. I do.

P.S. Thanks for visiting. I didn't write last few days, but I am reading a lot.

I believe that writing is therapy too. Often thoughts whizz around your

mind like pinballs and by writing them out, you score all the points possible and allow the balls to sink out of play, ready for the next one, two, three to come flying out of the start-tunnel.

Writing stuff down just gets it out of your head much better than speaking it out, I feel.

Writing is a more acceptable form of talking to oneself. Lol.

I've written unsent letters too. They do help in certain circumstances. I hope you are feeling better and that more projects come your way.
