Yes, sometimes seeds take centuries to take root in a mind. Look at the Greek philosophers.

Leave the seed watered, and it will sprout eventually. Leave it fallow, and it dies.

so true...the questions themselves reveal so many other questions
and other answers that the one sought by the asker becomes less important.  Very well put in a bit of brief prose...

Avant you are right ..there can be multiple questions....and one more thought came to me just now...i think a questions life can be longer than the one who asked it..so we may think it never got answered but truth is that when it gets an answer we are no longer there...to witness it...same ways some answers we get for the questions which were asked before we were there...we dont know the one who queestioned but we know that some answer has come up...

What would life be without questions?

Avant -
There are no unanswered questions, just questions that haven't been asked appropriately.

Left alone, a question can reveal multiple answers. Finding just one is to limit the result.

a very complex post.....but i think there are some which will always remain questions alone without the answers to pair with them..and there are some answers for which we dont know what question would suit...they are meant to be there till we learn to explore....

....one of my law professors said 'if you let me frame the issue (i.e., the question) i can determine the outcome of the case'.....well.....yes, i think that is true....samhain_moon

Recently
two men gave a speach about their quest for answers.  The only answer they got was that it is okay to have unanswered questions.

All I know is I don't think I'll ever run out of questions. hehe

Avant-Garde,
I've often realized that how I frame a question determines the answer that I get.
