Good work, Sarah. The villanelle is a tough one to write, particularly when
trying to make the meaning of the repeated lines change during the course of the poem. I might dig out one I wrote and post it in my own poetry blog.
The best of the form - if you don't know it, read it - is Dylan Thomas's 'Rage, rage, against the dying of the light' - I might be misremembering the title and maybe even misremembering that it's a villanelle. It's a great poem regardless.
