Hello.... I will keep you and yours in my prayers. Malcolm, don't feel bad about not being comforted with others being in the same situation.. each of us are different with different circumstances.

Old Age...
...can be the time when parents get their own back for all the years of worry and chaos.
My wife's parents seem to be on that track at the moment.
Good luck to you and yours.

Hey, Malcolm...
I'm back after what seems like an eternity away, and I wanted to stop by and say thanks for stopping in even though I was AWOL. I know exactly what you are saying about parents. It is scary that we become the, but I think that we can take comfort in knowing that we have their experience to help us through it. In my case, I realize that my parents were not perfect, but they did the best that they could and I believe that both the positive and the negative have given me tools that will help me cope with their aging as well as my own. My parents can be a treat and they can be a treat and they can be a trial...but then, I'm sure that they could say the same of me! Blessings to you and to your family as always...

Sorry about your dad, your parents, and your having to deal with all of that. Ahhh, but keep your focus on the fun of Canasta, what a memory for me. Mum loved that with us.
Now in my case, I am grateful and proud to be able to press on as it were and not be a burden to my children. I intend taking care of myself 'till it's all over one way or another.
They are grateful too I'm sure. lol

My mom is growing more infirm all the time. She calls to find comfort more than anything now.

Hello Malcolm,
I think age and the infirmities that come with it press on everyone's mind at some point or other. Growing old is a part of life whether we like it or not, so it's best just to do our best and enjoy the time we have in this life.
I will keep your father in my thoughts and prayers...
