Perhaps more so, Uncle Dave ...
had it been set in the Winter.

What makes you think he runs around shirtless, Aaron?

funny.  I knew there would be a twist...  but I didn't expect that.

An abominable tale, Mademoiselle.

I'll bet there are a lot of "bigfoot" sightings in L.A.
With Robin Williams running around, often shirtless.

At the time, strat, I had been going through a phase ...

where I would make several Bigfoot sightings per week: at the beach, in my backyard, even at the mall.

Not sure, FoF ...
By the time I regained consciousness, my brothers had already released him back into the wild.

You're welcome, MountainClimber.

Wow! You're lucky it wasn't Eric Rudolph, or something.
Bigfoot with pipe bombs.

Actually, you probably did see Big Foot -- in every manifestation that everyuone else sees him. Mistaken identity. Unless, of course, he was hanging out with Jackie O and the Loch NEss Monster...

hehe

Did "Bigfoot" know who you thought he was? Any reaction from him?

Funny

Yeah, Ben, it was either that,

or just using "... well," and "... um," to separate the phrases (which might have been somewhat confusing).

Thank you, Una.

Your post is fun to read, as always!

I have been very fortunate, fourcats, in my (limited) dealings with both editors and professors,

in terms of being given tremendous "artistic license".  They have, thus far, understood that my ultimate objective (i.e. for my writing to "sound" as much like my speaking voice as humanly possible) requires some "leeway".

your post perfectly illustrates my problems with editing. what helps make

the story is the purposeful stumbling with the crossed out words, it's a verbal "columbo" episode, seemingly confused and shambling but always succeeding.  i can think of many editors who would find it too cute but i think it lends a specific element to the writing.

blah, blah, blah.  another engaging post, that's what i think.

I'm going to assume you meant "cute", Jason ...
and thank you very much.

That's really funny, BrightIrish, because ...
several people said not to change the name for that very reason.  I think it's actually been a fairly smooth transition, however.

Possibly, Cesium.

That is quite a story, indeed memorable!  When I began to read I thought maybe you had posted on your bear experience. ......... Do you know that I've been wondering where you were and it was only Sat. that I relized that you changed your name.
