Corbin
You are that clueless about business and somehow you are making it.  I am amazed. You must have had a fair amount of money to start with then.

You do not need to apply for any of the help that should be given by the government to help small businesses out if the government is trying to stimulate a healthy economy.  here in Colorado we have a whole group that is just here to give advice, help people to build business plans and give classes and such , so that people starting out in small business have some kind of help in order to make it so they are less likely to fail.  I have already taken a class with them and talked with some advisors. I was told that due to federal cuts  such programs, that they are unable to provide as much help as they use to.  These are the kinds of programs Bush has cut the funding for.  it is not hands out or anything like that, although there were better loan programs that were government sponsored before Bush came along.  Trust me, I know for a fact that the help that was there to get a business up and going is not there now.  The numbers I have found shows that here was much less failure in small business under Clinton than under Bush and from what I can see it was because Clinton was putting money into programs to help failing small businesses get advice or loans as needed, while under Bush most of those programs have vanished.

I know how evil conservatives find it that the wealthy actually have to pay taxes and do what they can to make ti so the working class can get by on what little Big Business is willing to pay them.  But in truth it is not unfair at all for the wealthier to pay a higher percent of the taxes than the working class.  This is because the working class needs more of their money in order to just survive, while the wealthy have no real use to keep their money outside of their childish need to show how rich they are.  My guess is you are above the level of the working class and so are gaining from the working class being screwed over.  My guess is you would crack if you ever had to lower yourself to the level of being a working stiff.

Where in the world do you get the idea that 60% of the country is conservative? Bush got right at 50% of the votes.  No, this country is split fairly evenly.  Of course thanks to Bush and the conservatives in power who have been screwing things up for the last few years we might see more people waking up and seeing the reality of it all.

Oh and I have a  job now thanks to being a hard worker and being able to impress people with who I am.  My problem with getting a job was because the failing economy was making it so companies could not hire as many people as they needed at the level in which I am experienced to work at.  But I refused to give into the Conservative ideas that say I should just settle for next to nothing, since I am obviously uneducated and worthless since I am still just working class, I was able to find a decent paying job with fair benefits.

If is a very big word for just 2 letters.   Let me set one thing straight.......I didn't ask or apply for any help form the government......that's the difference...you immediately think of the government as being necessary for someone to succeed...while I think we all succeed in spite of the government.  Bill Clinton put in some of the largest tax increases in history....including taxing Social Security......it would have been even worse if that bitch of a wife of his had her way with the Health insurance scam.....I'm sure you hated they way the did it in secret...

The reaction of the American people was obvious....in 1994, the Republican Revolution jelled and we were able to stop the foolish slid into socialism.......in fact, we were able to force tax cuts, welfare reform on a kicking and squealing Bill Clinton........I was there, so don't try the re-write thingy with me.  We've been in power ever since......why, because 60% of the American people identify with the conservative values that is America's strength.

I sure hope you don't get into many discussions with the people you are interviewing with.........it could explain why you having trouble finding that "right" job.

So Corbin

What you are saying is that as long as you are doing well, then the economy as a whole must be doing well?  Who is the one who is out in space now?

I am hitting hard times, as is everyone around me.  And the more research I do on the state of the economy (Not the B.S. from Bush and his gruop, real research) the more I see that it is not just here, but everywhere right now.

The stock market is clearly as unstable if not more so than it was when the ‘dot.com bubble’ burst.  I can only figure that you were lucky to be an established company (Which you started during the Clinton years, when small businesses were getting help) when Bush took over, since he basically made it hard for new businesses to get going by taking away funding from various programs that helped new small businesses out.  Having been looking into starting up my own business and doing actual research here and now as how the market is, it became clear that it is best to wait right now.  This is from talking to small business owners both new and old who are very much afraid of the present economic failings that are going on.   I do not know what business you are in, but you really must have just gotten in the right one and it sounds like you owe a lot to the Clinton administration for helping you be able to create a solid business when you did.  Under the present conditions, you most likely would not have lasted a year.

So if the stock market crashes once the present illusion fades and your company goes under, are you going to blame liberal thinking for that?

We obviously won't agree........and I do respect your right to your opinion...sometimes, I just can't understand where you're coming up with such zany information and claims.

My business has never been better...I started my Company 14 years ago and the only downswing was in 2002 and  early 2003......

Thanks to the tax cuts I have been able to add 2 additional employees doubling my hourly staff.....all I hear from fellow small businessmen is the same.......my stocks are balanced and have been trending upward for 4 years now, and have rebounded from the false bubble of the late 90's.

So, you see, from my point of view your positions don't hold water......but remember, iIcome here and read your posts.....because it's important to see the other side...and you're getting clicks......isn't that what it's all about?

Corbin

I am very much aware of the real world and have been truly living and experiencing it these last few years as I get to see first hand just how bad of shape the economy is in. I do not fall for the illusions and B.S. lies of the Conservative in power.  If you believe Bush, then you are the one who is out in space and can not have any kind of intelligent conversation. The Republicans are doing all they can to take us backwards in growth and prosperity.  That should be clear to anyone by now.   Right now we are reset up just like the economy was right before the great depression.  We have been pulled back a century in regards to economics.  Bush and his group have done nothing at all to promote growth or help us build for a better tomorrow.  Isntead they have done all they can to borrow money from the future of this country to fund their war with Iraq and give back to Big Businesses who are not giving nay of it back to the country itself.

One thing I would like to point out to you is that I actually felt Bush was a better candidate than Gore at the tie of the election.  I liked nether one and felt they were both worthless candidates and I voted third party that year.  Btu when Bush won, I was defending him because I felt Gore was a poorer choice.  Then I started to look at politics and economics and such and really see the big picture. Then I got laid off and had to deal with the job market for he first time in over a decade.  What I learned was that things had gone downhill fast under Bush, even before 9/11, and had yet to recover to how good they were when Clinton was in charge.  Go and study history and see the patterns that are there.  I ended up being a Liberal because I studied up on what had come before and I was able to see which kind of thinking has helped build up this country and which has helped to bring it down.  So far this century it has been time and time again the Liberals who have had to rebuild it all after the Conservatives have done all they could to bring it down.

Kookla

We are the change.......we have revolutionalized politics.....The LIBDems are the old order!  Try giving us some of their new thoughts.......won't happen.

I play with your threads because you are so far out in space, intelligent conversation takes too long for it to travel back and forth.

You've got a lot to learn about the real world out there......

Jason

Bush doesn't care about right or wrong or if what he does fits his political views.  He is out for money, every penny he can get for himself and those who have helped him gain his power.  He is pure greed and wills crew over everyone (The American people most of all) in his way to that end.

Apparently Mr. Bush
Isn't afraid of change. He turn the management of harbors over to Arabs and has a fairly liberal view of immigration. But I will say that most conservatives fear change.

Carbin

I understand that you find truth, wisdom, logic, justice, liberty and freedom to all be things to laugh about.  If someone speaks ratioanl thought and not Conservative B.S. propaganda, then you are unable to take it seriously.

You are aware that you have yet to actual show me or anyone where I have made mistakes with my posts.  You come in and say some stupid, childish line that reflect a lack of being able to make an intelligent reply.  If I am wrong, then prove me wrong and show me where my mistakes are.  Otherwise you just help to backup my points my making your stupid remarks.
