a word of support
Some bloggers garner very little creative thought or content, so they resort to hurling insults, and name calling. Such is the case with an earlier commentor on this blog (I need not be any more specific). Yet there is something wonderful about feedback even when it is distasteful. Your writings touches nerves in some, and hearts in others. Continue touching both!!!! Thank You.

turningpoint
You just spit out the basic paranoid rant that so many others seem to be believing right now. Sorry, but illegal immigrants are far from being some great threat to this country. There is no 'deconstruction of America' going on. It is called progress and growth. Things change and societies adjust to changes. If it were not mexican, it would be someone else. Due to the nature of the U.S.A., we are a culture of constant change, as has been shown by our history. America was lost shortly after it was founded if we are to go by the logic of those like you. We are not the country were fifty years ago or even twenty years ago and it is not or the worse and little of it has been due to illegal immigrants.
We all are in constant change. Pointing the finger at illegal immigrants is just B.S used by politicians to distract us and hide their own failings.

What a heap of relitavist hogwash
Looks like we have another flaming head-in-his-or-her ass, everthing-is-relative moron on our hands. That whole post is blatant hypocrisy, stupidity, and ignorance of the sort that is causing this country's problems int he first place. It's ironic that people like you take this country's freedoms (WHICH ARE PART OF WHAT MAKE UP OUR CULTURE) and then argue for the deconstruction of America.
Protecting of our borders is one of the MOST important contemporary issues. This country will live or die in the next few decades by how it decides to deal with the unnoficial Mexican invasion of our borders. But any invasion is justified. We are not morally responsible for taking over this country, it is all part of the natural order. Just like the Mexican "Reconquista" will be fully justified if they succeed in taking back what we took. It has happened forEVER, since the beginnin of history, and will never cease, despite liberal dreaming. It is what it is.
The only comments that make any sense in your regurgitated rant are the comments about Bush. But Bush is not the SOURCE of our problems, he is a SYMPTOM. Bush is the personification of the rampant stupidity in our nation, just like Clinton was the posterboy for the utter destruction of all semblances of morality that this country once possessed.
It matters not at all really. All idiots, intelligent people, liberals, conservatives, and those who think they can abstain from this country's politics, will soon be thrust into the inevitability of our third-world civil war within the next couple of decades.
Chaos awaits us all.

good post
regarding language -- yea -- there is not uniform language
in one part of the country -- ubran versus rural --
you get variances
and then our blogger there, who also is certainly a racist -- trying to hide it -- but not successfully.
he forgets that we have attempted to force our language on native americans and on hispanics where we've taken over
("what you mean 'we', white man?")
he is part of an attitude that fosters hatred.
