avant-garde,
Some very deep thoughts, here.  I really like the part about the ingenius having no agenda.  Well said.  :)

Avant-Garde,
Only if the world were ruled by logic, humanity and love.  I've put my faith elsewhere.

Fortunately, things have reached a pitch where something must give for us to continue living. Perhaps, we will begin to see the benefit from getting along, as opposed to being right and winning. The two are mutually exclusive.

Is it peace, or merely a respite from conflict?

Avant-Garde,
I have mixed feelings.  I do believe that we, the US have enemies, who wish to do us harm, but is very diffeent thing to defend hearth and home than to be the aggressor.  I am so sad for this world.

It seems that the only peace that I am able to propagate is the peace in my own heart.  But, I guess that is a beginning.  Without peace in the heart of individuals how can there be peace anywhere?

interesting to think about the paradox of war to obtain peace...

I agree.  I do think that peace must be pursued by action.  So, given that for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction, giving seems the right place to start.

Be well,
