Believing in our "Selfs" is key. That Self is the divinity within. While I have not read CWG, it took me quite a while to get it too! Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by and reading.

How true! It is the fear of loss that creates the problem. Thanks for stopping by.

That is the hardest thing to do - giving of one's self. But by far the most rewarding. Thanks for reading.

The act of giving up attachments and giving of one's self does not deplete. It actually creates. Only one's fear of having nothing creates a burden. One can never receive without first giving. Thanks for stopping by.

Sannhett-
In this time of reflecting on the life of the great master teacher, Jesus, He said to leave all behind and follow Him.  Indeed His followers were amongst the most doubtful, but those in the masses who showed ultimate faith showed the belief in themselves.  First they had to believe in their faith through the Self and He demonstrated their power in faith when the miracle they asked for came to pass.  It IS difficult to let go of all and follow.  Christ was a teacher; a giver of himself in which he tried to teach us all that we have such power if only we would believe (in our "Selfs" the Father has bestowed upon each and every one of us.) ( It took reading all three CWG books to finally have this sink in, in case I sound too preachy.) You always say it so eloquently; so simply.  Keep posting!!

A profound and empowering truth

which, sadly, many choose to avoid because they fear giving somehow depletes their lives rather than enriches or balances it as your post so ably demonstrates.

Very True
The hardest for most is to give of self.  Many will give things!

Sannhet,
That sounds lovely, but, in reality, if one gives everything away, how do we (or does one) live?  Are we not then a burden and useless to those around us?
