Well, I think that sometimes it's hard to pinpoint a particular thing when the thinking that might have been started by one thing generalizes other things as well. I'm sorry to hear that you're down and I hope that you find release soon.

If more people would think this way, the companions on it would be valued beyond compare.

It sounds as if you're mourning a loss. Have you lost anything dear to you lately?

I read a quote the other day: 'Advice is when you ask someone else what you already know the answer to.' He's doing better, but that tumor is pretty large. If we opt for surgery, it will probably only be to find out if it be malignant. I'll keep you posted. It's my wife's dog, and she smiles gratefully when I tell her of your kindness towards him. You're a great soul.

I agree with Sannhet, the journey is the most important part of the destination. If we pay too much attention to the end result, we may miss something along the way.....Now regarding Butterscotch and surgery, you asked me what I think. My question is, what does the surgeon think? Does he think he can remove the entire tumor and then what would the prognosis be? That's a decision you and your family would need to make. If you decide to have the surgery I can still do Reiki on him and help with the healing process. How is he doing? Is he still feeling a little more spry? Let me know what you decide and how I can help and I will continue to do healings on him. Take care!

I think the journey is the destination, and I think it still matters. To me, that's what life is all about.

A-G--- I've learned that the journey often is the destination---
at least for me. But not always. Being a writer, I've learned to savor the journey as I work toward the final destination, which is completion of a novel.

I'm always made to pause when I read your posts
so I save them till last. I guess I was going to say that destinations are only new beginnings; the path continues once you reach the summit; higher and better. We never arrive and if you do, that's it. We're there; it's all over and we have passed on or transformed.

i agree with you...the aimless wanderer is the sage...journey alone matters....& then it isnt even a destination..rather it is a being in itself that you need to explore...very mystic post..

I suspect the journey would then matter more
because it would force one to live more in the present rather than in a planned or proposed future and reap more the blessings of a given moment: of now.

What is "aimless"? Perhaps, the wanderer marches to the beat of an inner drum.
