Pearl,
Sometimes I just have to mellow out, but Bad Bad Leroy Brown is great also.

Blanche,
I like all the ballad type stuff and James Taylor is really great also.

Okay,
Nobody said anything about the Bad Leroy Brown song.  I know, there are way too many out there, but that's one of my favorites of his.  :)  Such a great story teller.

sarooster,
Sounds like some great tunes.  I like Jim Croce's music also.  It reminds me a lot of when I was younger, and my uncles used to be home for military leave.  They liked his stuff, too.  Also, James Taylor, another great.  Oh, there are so many.  I'm glad you had a good day.  :)

I should say "who were out there"
since Jim Croce is dead, sadly.

Sarooster,
My personal favorite of Jim Croce is "Time In A Bottle".   He and James Taylor are two of the best ballad singers out there, imho.  I'm glad you're having a peaceful day.

I've Uploaded Selected Songs From...

about half the CDs I own...I think I can leave my computer spin music for ten straight days now and never hear the same song twice.

I have everything from Foghat, to Frau Frau to Freddie Fender uploaded...I stick the headphones on and let that sucker just play all day! Commercial free!

My tastes in music are many and varied.
There is no way one radio station could or would ever play them all. But it would be great if they did. Jim Croce's music and messages in his music are timeless. I guess on Yahoo you can "create" your own radio station and listen to pretty much what you like.

We Forget Too Much Music...

Jim Croce's songs were timeless but now they're mostly relogated to the oldies station even though his messages and melodies are as vibrant as any new music I've heard today!

I don't understand why we can't enjoy Jim Croce, Alanis Morissette, Byonce', Led Zeppelin, Vibrolush, and Eminem all on the same FM radio station.

shellyb,
I can't enough of his music. Even after all these years I still enjoy listening to his songs.

I love Jim Croce, and yes, he did die too young.  My favorite is Time in a Bottle, I cry every time I hear it.
