Belgian fries? I didn't know!

That is so cool. I bet there are a lot of dishes that have Belgian roots, like the veggie and chicken stew.My mom calls that goulash.

We have a lot of famous dishes. Like mussels-frites, or Flemish stew, steak-frites, Gentse waterzooi (a stew with lots of vegies and chicken). Frites were invented in Belgium, did you know that? You'll call them fries or french fries, but they are actually Belgian!

The Kitchen is always open...

You come back anytime you like, Nickie... so what is the food in Belgium like?

Hmm... you make my mouth water! I'm going to return to your blog more often and note down some of the recipes. I'm not a great cook myself, but my sister is, and she likes to experiment in the kitchen. Food like this we don't know in Belgium.
