- Go to Democrats Hold National Security Workshop – Gee, I Feel Safer Already
Ah, kingmi, liberal idealism and conceit at its best!
We have decreed it, thus it shall be.

WoL,
...implementing nuclear nonproliferation strategies, safeguarding nuclear material, shutting down the international nuclear arms bazaar, and preventing rogue regimes from developing nuclear arsenals...
How do they plan to do any of this without resorting to military strength? They are like college kids in the library, brainstorming neat ideas in a vacuum. It sounds wonderful, but sending briefcase-bearing power attorneys to deal with ruthless extremist terrorists is not something we need to start experimenting with. We had our Al Gore and we cut his political daydreaming short. Let's get real!

Thanks, Mountain Climber and Blanche!
Mountain climber, nonsense like this does get me hot under the collar.
Blanche, I'm puzzled.
Would that it had been so, but how do you reckon that Republicans have been in power 13 years? The Republicans won the majority in the Senate in 2002, they won the White House in 2000, and they won the majority in the House of Representatives in 1994. Holding only the House is not to be in power.
But take note: When Osama bin Hidin (I'm honored that you've adopted my nickname for him!) was offered to the Clinton administration, they refused to take custody of him. Now that's not being effective!

WriterofLight,
The Dems may be holding workshops, but that's of small concern. The Republicans have been in power for the last 13 years. Osama bin Hidin has not been caught yet. That's not what I call effective.
