lol! Good one....I think I remember hearing as a kid about Parker Bros. or whomever touts "Monopoly", filling one special game with real cash totaling the same as the play money.
With all the billions of people that could potentially be the lucky one to get it, I still had fun fantasizing about how cool it would be to open the right box!

Instead of using the word "Astronomical" to discribe something out of reach we can now use "economical"!

So, when do we switch over to the monopoly money?
I've got mine sitting in the basement and I'll mail an even $90,000 out immediately...

Passionflower,
I don't know much about economics, but I figure all the borrowing and the trade deficit have got to come due sometime.

So does this mean that if each family could pay
$89,000 we could pay off the national debt?????
Doesn't really matter...nobody trusts the govt enough to give them their money...lol!

hmm
well i work for a debt collections company and i would say on a debt that size you could get away with paying about £1 a week. lol
that is one hell of an amount of money especailly when you think that there will be ample people out there who are not in debt and if so certainly by less than that family average. poor souls who fall the other side of the line tho.
